Air Montenegro will enter its first winter season, which starts on October 31, with two planes. The airline also plans to expand its network. As the director of Air Montenegro, Predrag Todorović, told EX-YU aviation, the selected Embraer aircraft will be painted, while the logo chosen in May will be displayed on them.
Commenting on the existing international airline network, as well as its future growth, Todorovic said that they would continue with regular airlines to Istanbul, Ljubljana, and Belgrade and that they would focus on Podgorica-Belgrade flights, instead of Tivat-Belgrade, during the winter season. As the Russian market is currently closed to Montenegro, the Montenegrin airline is monitoring the situation with the Russian market, while taking into account several new destinations, which will be announced within the scheduled time.
We are very open to cooperation with all airlines in the region, “said Predrag Todorovic, CEO of Air Montenegro.
It should be reminded that launched in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, the national airline of Montenegro has been operating commercial flights for a little less than four months and has already served over 70,000 passengers on over 850 flights. The logo of the new airline, whose creator is the Russian graphic artist Maxim Abruzov, was chosen at an international competition, and, interestingly, the average occupancy of the cabin on the airlines in the previous four months was about 90 percent.
